November 18, 2020: The "motor disabled" message on older Life Fitness T5-0, T5-5, T7-0 Consumer Treadmills indicates a low voltage error.
The Life Fitness T Series Treadmill Service Manual states that in the event of a Low Voltage Error, the issue might be related to the power outlet voltage, but in general the problem is insufficient power to maintain the preset speed.
Reasons:
Incorrect speed sensing;
Low outlet voltage / current;
Increased Belt / deck friction;
Heavy user;
Insufficient power delivered by the Motor Controller;
Bad motor.
